  • Sebastian Goldspink is a Sydney‑based consultant and curator with a national reach.

     

    He brings more than 20 years of experience to his practice, shaped by a diverse career spanning curatorial leadership, arts consultancy and significant writing projects. A proud Burramattagal man, Goldspink has made major contributions to Australian art, beginning with the founding of ALASKA Projects, the influential non‑profit art space he established in 2010. He has served as the inaugural Director of the Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf and the Director of Hazelhurst. In 2022, he curated the Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art, Free/State, at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

     

    He currently sits on the boards of the Power Institute at the University of Sydney and Western Sydney University Creative. A graduate of the National Gallery of Australia’s advanced First Nations leadership program, Wayanha, he continues to champion cultural leadership and artistic innovation.

     

    Goldspink has collaborated with global brands including Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Valentino. He is an ambassador for the Melbourne Art Fair, regularly leads VIP and First Nations tours for Sydney Contemporary, Spring 1883 and has served as an ambassador for both the Darwin and Cairns Indigenous Art Fairs.

     

    He is Editor‑at‑Large for Art Collector magazine and a regular contributor to other leading publications on art collecting and First Nations art.
