Madeleine Mackenzie

Madeleine is an art specialist and auctioneer with Australia's largest national auction house, Leonard Joel. Based in Sydney, her role as Head of Decorative Arts & Art sees her working on important single-owner auctions and regular art and interiors auctions, providing valuations, research, and sales expertise.

Originally from Perth, Madeleine studied and worked abroad at Christie's & Sotheby's in London, at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and at blue-chip art gallery Sperone Westwater in New York, before returning home to Australia. Overseas her experience focused on international contemporary art and in Sydney she has furthered her knowledge of Australian art and the decorative arts. She now works across all categories of fine art providing market, probate and insurance valuations, as well as overall collection management and dispersal.
