Alana Kushnir

  • Alana Kushnir is an art lawyer, advisor and curator based in Melbourne. She is the Director and Founder of Guest Work Agency, the first dedicated art law and advisory firm in Australia.

     

    Alana works with a variety of individuals and organisations in the art field, providing strategic advice on significant artwork sales and acquisitions, public art commissions, arts technology platforms, licensing collaborations and legacy planning.

     

    She is also a Board Director of the Jewish Museum of Australia, an arbitrator for the Court of Arbitration for Art (CAfA) and a member of the Art, Cultural Institutions and Heritage Law Committee of the International Bar Association.

     

    Alana has curated exhibitions and public programs in Australia and internationally, and has presented her research and writing on art, technology and the law in a wide range of contemporary art publications and books, as well as at conferences and talks around the world.

     

    Alana also has extensive lecturing experience, having taught subjects across curating, contemporary art and art law at the University of Melbourne.
