Marielle is an enthusiastic champion of artists and their practices, and avidly interested in engaging people with art. She is committed to building new audiences and developing international appreciation for Australian art. Understanding the value of a life engaged with fine art, design and the creative process, she has a particular interest in cultural impact, art history and the psychology of collecting.
Skilled in client/stakeholder consultation, creative business strategy, curatorial projects, conference presentations, major arts events, and collection advice/management, Marielle has obtained a broad range knowledge across the arts in Australia. She has significant expertise in Indigenous art and more broadly contemporary Australian art.
In 2014 she was appointed to the Board of award-winning Melbourne arts organisation CLIMARTE - Arts for a Safe Climate, the management team behind the successful 2015 and 2017 biennial Arts festival ART+CLIMATE=CHANGE.
